[2:58 PM EST - Now it's time for lunch.]

Hmm.. my lunch plans went a little astray today. At least I won't be eating until late anyway so this shouldn't be much of a problem..

[11:54 PM EST - Transparant Alumi..na?]

This is cool, although I doubt we'll ever get aluminum to become transparent. (Link's from the ShackNews.)

[Wednesday, February 27, 2002: Need string, a cup, and pads.]

I broke my racquet today. I ended up hitting the birdie near the top of the racquet and it broke the string. I continued playing with it despite having little control over my shots, but I figured that I might as well finish that game right? Well, that was a pretty dumb move since playing with it only made the strings looser, which means that I can't just fix the string, I'm going to have to replace it. Argh! Ah well, it was in need of replacing anyway. Right?

Tons of people showed up today. I'd say around twenty people arrived. Twenty is a large number considering that our usual turnout is around the twelve range. I had no problems with it since I had broomball afterward and didn't want to tire myself out too much, but more people means less playing time for others..

After badminton came broomball, and there were tons of people who showed up today. (Twenty! Quelle conincidence!) It's strange that everyone decided to show up today while we were short people for the last month. (I liked it when it was short - a lot more ice means a lot more running!) I ended up getting whacked in the shins a few times and nearly took a ball off of an area where a cup should be if it wasn't for my glove that got in the way. (Yes, I put it there.) I think I'll be going out to get a cup and/or shin pads. I'll probably need them for the tournament and I'd like to get some practice in with them before playing any games while I'm out there.

Speaking of getting practice. Playing broomball with the new helmet felt funny for the first little while. Seeing all of those lines in my field of view was distracting for a little while, but I quickly got over that, which is a good sign for future games.
