[11:55 AM EST - I'm back!]

Oh, that was a long drive. Mind you, I did sleep through most of it. It seems as if I missed a couple of things this weekend, and I've got (exactly) one hundred messages in my inbox! Mind you, once I got rid of the CTRL-A e-mail and spam, it got reduced to less than forty but hey..

Gotta go.

[2:15 PM EST - Links.]

I got a couple of links from HaremPresident (here) and FlyingS (here). Ew, and to think that I ate there just a few months ago.

Why is my connection so slow BTW?

[3:16 PM EST - That's why it's so slow!]

Argh! I had set my network card so that it was fixed at 10Mb duplexed because letting it go on auto meant that it didn't get a good connection with the 10/100 switch for some reason (I still haven't figured it out). Since girl switched the connection with the 10Mb hub (which is half-duplex only), my computer was trying to ram too much information through the hub, which made it even slower!

At least that's the theory. At least it's working better now.

[Sunday, January 27, 2002: Early gas.]

I got a knock on my door at quarter to five. KM wasn't kidding when he told me that we were leaving at five. I decided to forego a shower that morning, and got my stuff together. We left the hotel at five. (I also noticed that the hotel only charged me for one night, so I'm not sure what's going to appear on my credit card next month..)

One thing that we forgot to do was to fill up the gas tank before we went back to the hotel. Not too many things are open at five in the morning, especially in a small town. We were pissing our pants for a few minutes until we found a gas station near the highway that was still open. I guess being next to the highway means that they get enough business 24/7, but in any case, we were just very happy to be able to fill up since I doubt we could've gone very far with the amount of gas that we had left in the tank..

The trip back was fairly uneventful. I slept basically most of the way back, although I did peek at the sunrise..
