I had dinner at the Timeless Café tonight. Well, it was more like in the early morning, but hey. It's funny, to me at least, that this probably wouldn't have been my first time here had I actually gone in to the café a couple of years back. Instead, we ended up somewhere else and had a nice conversation over chocolate cake and milk. Ah yes, I still remember the "See? You're lactose intolerant!" comment. (For the record, I was saying "Uhh.." and not belching.)
Oh yes, anyway, I had the sizzling steak meal (which was really good, although a little on the undercooked side) and paid for dinner (for all eight people - what was I thinking?). One of the waitresses was really darned cute. *whistles* No, I didn't do anything - now go away.
Well, I'm still mulling over some comments made over dinner so I'll put up an update later.

Looking back, I keep marveling at the dialogue that I opened up for that little while. It was something special wasn't it? But it's something that won't be repeated again. Not like that. Oh, there will be other special things, but this one has run it's course, and the embers are finally giving off the last of their warmth.
I've become better. I think I have at least. Things I would not normally have tried, I jumped on those opportunities just to prove that I can do it, that I can do anything. I'm still young. I still can. That's something to think about..

I meant to go skiing this afternoon, but when I got up this morning, I was sore all over. All that running and testing last night added up to a big pile of sore. By the time I even got ready to go, it was already two. I have a superbowl party to head to later this afternoon, so I decided to opt out of skiing today.
There's always next week right? At least I can spend the afternoon picking up elbow pads, wax and a sharpener..

You know, I was doing fairly well up till now. I had come to the point when I really could continue on, but a few casual comments and I'm back at square one! (Or square two.) Argh! *bangs head against desk*
