[12:27 AM EST - I don't like Mondays.]

I'm ready to keel over. I just had way too much food and I feel like I'm going to burst at the seams.. *puts fingers to mouth* Blorp.

Well, I had badminton and broomball tonight. Broomball went amazingly well. We had less people show up than usual, and this translated into a lot of extra ice and a lot more passing. This one guy and I ended up scoring six of our seven goals on some incredible give-and-go and tic-tac-toe plays. It was if the defence was standing still! Just about all of my passes ended up on his stick and I got wood on any passes to me. I hope I can play like this in two months..

Ouch. I think I got whacked on the forearm though.

I had to relinquish control of the car this afternoon, but it wasn't as if I had to walk home. What interested me was that the moment I got into the other car, the radio turned on and began playing a song by the Boomtown Rats that I had never heard of before until I got a MP3 version last month (which I didn't listen until a few days ago and deleted recently). I just found that.. odd. I never thought I'd come across that song that's all.

[10:12 AM EST - Icy.]

Man, minivans have a lot of windows. We had a bit of freezing rain last night, and usually I'd park the car in the garage so that I can drive it to work without the need to clear any snow or ice. I left the car out last night and I spent quite a bit of time this morning clearing off all of the ice. It would've helped if there was an ice scraper in the car, but I had to settle for a CD case (which worked, if you really put your arm into it.)

[6:19 PM EST - This is cool.]

A thermal diode that works at two hundred degrees? (Link found on ArsTechnica.) That's not too shabby! Actually, it would be quite cool to have these things as electricity generators in an ICE or Sterling engine..

Of course, the depends on how effecient and expensive they are..

[11:53 PM EST - I keep forgetting it.]

Argh! My roll of duct tape is still sitting on my desk. I've been meaning to bring it down to the hut for the past month now..

Anyway, work's been progressing fairly well. I got most of the changes I wanted to make into the two programs. I hope it'll be enough.

[Thursday, January 31, 2002: Way to go Jennifer!]

Ah yes, ski patrol went well last night. I found out that I was able to take the ski test some time later into the season because of my circumstances and the fact that I had put in the requisite hours (and then some) of training. Now I'm not sure when I'll schedule the test, but I know that I'm going to need more practice!

Oh yeah, I had to take down a fence near one of those snow makers, and I didn't realize how much ice it makes until I got onto the chairlift. I looked over my stuff and found out that I was just caked with ice. As I tried scraping it off (I probably should've used one of those window scrapers) I felt something slip in my lap and relized that I was only holding on to one pole. Oops.

"One of my highly skilled patrollers dropped his pole while going up the chairlift, can you go and retrieve it please?"

*hangs head*
