[12:26 AM EST - Lesson learned.]

I went patroling tonight. Not the greatest night to go out skiing. It was cold, windy, and the snow (more like ice) was pretty bad. I did, however, get to schedule my ski test. It's in just over thirteen hours. Goody. At least I'll get it over with huh?

[12:44 AM EST - Metropolis.]

Hey, I read a review of Metropolis in the paper this morning. I forgot to mention it until now.

[Sunday, February 10, 2002: It started with a checkup..]

I had a lot of things scheduled for today. I had a dental appointment for a routine checkup in the morning, followed by my ski test in the afternoon and finally a couple of broomball games. Too bad they were all in different cities or it wouldn't have taken so long.

Anyway, I went to get my teeth checked that morning. I was in better condition than I thought I was considering that I haven't had a checkup in over a year. I got a referal for a orthodontist and was very happy that my benifits card worked. (Go go benifits!)

After the test, I rushed home to drop off my ski stuff and pick up my broomball stuff before heading out to KW for a couple of competitive broomball games. In my rush to get out of the house, I had forgotten my list of phone numbers which meant that I couldn't contact anyone while I was down there. Oops. So if you're wondering why I didn't say anything to anyone who was living down there, you know why.

I got to the first broomball game late. The game had already started, but it was okay. I knew we were going to lose anyway, but it was still fun. Playing on big ice really was a chore after getting used to rushing around on little ice for the past year. Man, I can't believe how quickly I got winded. We got crushed in the first game, but we played well in the second one. (I ended up with a couple of insurance goals.)

Met a whole bunch of old faces: Riston's team, TJ, BCF, etc. Nothing ever changes down there it seems.

I was leaving the arena when I recalled that there was a CTRL-A show being held that weekend. I decided to park the car again and see if I could catch the end of it (it was getting kind of late). So I parked the car and headed into Opt. Nothing. *scratches head* Strange, I could've sworn that there was a show. Waitaminute.. it's the winter term. It must be being held in AL!

So I headed down to AL and lo and behold, I saw the teltale signs of a CTRL-A show in progress: Cars next to the building, posters, and some people milling about. I wandered into the lecture room just in time to see credits rolling on the screen. I asked FlyingS (who was surprised at my arrival) what I had missed. His response was,

"Everything."

He was right. *clenches fist*

Ah well. I hung around to greet some of the old guard. HNT and JCC were around so we went out for dinner (with a bunch of people). I got HNT interested in the Ski Patrol. We'll see if he'll be joining next year!

Oh yeah, I learned a couple bits of Canadian law: You can record a conversation that could be used in a court of law so long as you are part of that conversation. Also, you cannot be sued if someone claims that you have something of value that they own and you have offered to recompensate them in cash the value of that object(s).

I'll have to look into that.
