[11:58 AM EDT - Finally up.]

Argh! I haven't been able to connect to the network all day! I think it might be some sort of problem with one of the servers, but I got around that by stealing someone else's connection. *grumbles*

Of course, I got in earlier than usual today so I could actually do more work, skipping breakfast in the process. *grumble*

Dang stomach. it makes way too much noise. *grumble*

[2:27 PM EDT - And I thought it was me..]

Hey, so the two network connections I checked were FUBARed. That surprised me since they were totally different, and it got me on the wrong diagnosis that my computer was broken. Gee, I could've saved a lot of time there..

Anyway, I heared about the mess on the 401 this morning. The only information I got was that it occured at around 1:30 am when some doughhead cut off a tractor trailer, which then ended up going through the guard rail to avoid the car. Eventually he hit an oncoming tractor trailer and traffic was completely blocked since then. Well, they opened up two eastbound lanes when I was making my way to work, but nobody goes eastbound at that time of day..

Oh well. Oh yeah, there's another one of those cell phone studies saying that they may be bad for you (although more research is required). Found the link on ZDNet.

[4:19 PM EDT - Backup links.]

Yo. I got a bunch of links for some of the stuff I mentioned before. There's a Toronto Star article about the traffic thing from this morning, there's a better version of the story I put up yesterday(although the original story "Take Care of the Rocks First" didn't have any beer reference), and girl send me a link for more information about the engineering aspect of the fall of the twin towers.

[4:47 PM EDT - Q33NY Wingdings.]

I got another e-mail message from girl about a dubious claim about Q33NY being an "internal reference" for one of the flights that hit the twin towers. I haven't bothered looking it up though so you never know, it might be true..

Uh.. what else. Oh yeah, I've got ultimate on Sunday, but none on Monday. What the.. this is the last full day of summer! Man, where does the time fly?

[7:02 PM EDT - Bad bug.]

Ugh, there's a bad bug on one of my scripts. It makes it go into an infinite loop or something. I didn't get a chance to take a look at it at work, and I spent most of the time at home looking for a microphone and getting it to work. (I'm still not sure if it works.) Anyway, I think I'll get some coding out of the way first since it seems like the HL and CS servers are jam packed still.

[9:57 PM EDT - Text to go.]

Finally! I got the plain text scheme to work (sort of) with the journal. It still doesn't work with some of my scripts, but I really can't be bothered to fix those ATM.

I'm downloading the HL patch as we speak. Another hour to go. Oi.

[10:11 PM EDT - Cut off?]

Argh! I got cut off during my download! *shakes fist* It was only 1.5MB into the transfer, which took a whopping 10 minutes to do. At least now I'm on a faster server.. *knocks on wood*

While I'm here, I found a number of interesting links on the ShackNews. The first is about the future of the MS OS, the hockey game stopped by the presidential address, words of advice to passangers from a pilot, some "invisible condoms" under development, and DSL providers getting fed up with users who don't know how to keep their computers clean.

[10:23 PM EDT - Final touches.]

I'm cleaning up the plain text script and found an amazingly fast server hosting the CS mod update. Woo boy! It might even finish before I complete the HL download! Okay, ten minutes left.. some final touches to the script and then I'll be joining Laz and Pops..

[10:41 PM EDT - Faster and faster..]

Geez, the last HL update I uploaded had a bad signature. Fortunately, the next site I hit was even faster than the last one! Now I've got a few minutes to wait..

Oh yeah, I still haven't fixed that infinite loop problem yet. I thought I did, but only in some cases. Very, VERY annoying.
