Erk. I just checked my hotmail account and found out that I had exceeded my quota on the service. Apparently I was given warnings since the 10th, but since I haven't checked my account in a month..
I ended up losing quite a bit of old mail there, which is too bad. I kept it there just incase I need to keep a record of some corrospondence. I guess it's all gone now. It shouldn't really matter though, it wasn't all too important. Curse this two megabyte limit! *shakes fist*
I have since emptied out the inbox. One file made all the difference (and it was basically all that was left in there before I cleared it out.) Dang.

Microsoft Outlook [Express] can automatically check and download your hotmail email. That's what I do.. much easier to archive stuff that way.

And when you get magical bits of VBS, it even mails porn spam to all your friends! It's great!

LOL. Ah yes, I use Outlook at work because there's nothing else here to use, but apart from that, I avoid that program like the plague. Jax also told me about the ability to consolidate your e-mail via Hotmail, but the problem I was having was not because people were sending me too many things to Hotmail. I found out that you can use Hotmail to suck up e-mail from POP accounts, so I decided to send my work e-mail there (because I didn't have access to my work e-mail at a client's site) except that my work e-mail tended to have large attachments. One of these attachments happened to be 1,970 kB in size..
And that's why I lost all of my Hotmail mail.

Note that having all of your work email sent to a Hotmail account is a very bad idea - if there's anything that in any way involves an NDR or confidential material, you're relying on Hotmail security for it to be protected. Not a good idea at all - if you worked here, I'd kill you.
Well, not literally.
Lawyers could have a field day with that though. Hmmm.. You need a security policy! I charge very reasonable rates.

Jax also told you how she uses Outlook Express to consolidate all her e-mail. Hotmail quotas are evil. And watch that Bulk Mail folder too -- I've discarded many a friendly e-mail without checking just because I was cc.-ed instead of directly mailed.

Oops, did I say Hotmail? I meant Outlook. *blush* There I go again, thinking one thing and typing another. *shakes head*
