I saw this rant originally over at ArsTechnica. I agree with the message that they guy's trying to say that all web sites should try to be browser independent. Because if it isn't, what's the point?

Have you heard about IE 5.5 and DHTML? <Shaking head> I sure hope the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme court is paying attention to this. Any site using Microsloth's DHTML will only work with IE! I guess they don't learn too quick....

*blink* That's not news.. DHTML never worked in other browsers.
And considering that some 80%+ of browsers used are a version IE, I don't really see anything wrong with MS developing a webtech that takes advantage of their own software!

Yeah, there was some DHTML that worked with Netscape, but since none of it was standardised, and Microsoft would have just changed it if Netscape bothered to support it, Netscape never really incorporated it.
Just another step in Microsoft's attempt to make Internet = MSN.
