[12:29 AM EDT - I really should be responding to e-mail.]

Hmm, I should be responding to some e-mail but it is getting late and I realized that my responses are starting not to make sense. (Although that may not be much of a difference though.)

Anyway, I think I will go to bed now.

[10:09 AM EDT - They mostly come out on good days. Mostly.]

During dinner, SF made a comment about the good weather noting that,

"All of the old cars come out."

With my wonderful hearing ability, and the fact that I was walking back to the table, I heard something different. So I asked her,

"Did you say old farts?"

So my hearing is going in my old age. So sue me!

[Tuesday, April 24, 2007: Down came the rain.]

It was supposed to rain this afternoon, but since I was not riding, I did not pay any attention to the weather reports. Had I been reviewing the forecast, I would have found out that there was a heavy rain and strong wind warning.

When the storm hit, we knew. The rain came down in torrents. But it was the wind that was more terrifying. The trees did not sway. They stayed tilted because the wind just did not let up! There were plenty of small and medium sized objects that would have been airborne had it not been for the heavy rain.

I pity the fool who would think of riding in this maelstrom.

As expected, the power flickered in the building, and that threw a good number of our electrical equipment into a loop.

My parent's place was fine, but after badminton, the lights went out in the school gym just as we were putting the equipment away. I was holding on to one of the poles for several minutes before someone was able to come along with a light source (cell phones can come in very handy!).
