[Sunday, April 15, 2007: Hockey night.]

Hockey was scheduled for tonight and will be on Fridays for the near future. So I am left with a bit of a conundrum whether or not I should go there from work or go home first. The rink itself is actually in between work and my condo, so going home will not be that much of a hassle, but I hate wasting gas. (Considering that gas has been staying over a dollar a litre for quite some time now.)

I had decided that I would go home and eat before heading out to hockey, but as I left work, I noticed a familiar car in the parking lot. MCC had come by to visit and TT was in the car so I hopped in in chatted for a bit. I was easily convinced to go out to dinner with the group, so we headed out to Moxie's for a little bit of grub.

I did not want to eat a lot, so I only ordered a seafood linguine, which I devoured quite quickly I might add. TT ordered some sort of raw meat for an appetizer and had none, while MCC ordered a plate of nachos and only finished half of them.

Guess who polished off most of the rest of the food?

I was so stuffed by the end of the meal, and to put salt on the wound (or sugar in the stomach), S ordered a brownie covered in ice cream and whipped cream, which I was the only one to take more than one bite out of. My pseudo-meaganistic beliefs compelled me to consume the rest of the dessert, and my downfall was complete. There was no way I would be able to digest everything by the time I laced up.

That was for sure, I did not play well at all that game and we lost (although it was close).

As an aside, I bumped into DP at the restaurant. MCC saw him first since my back was turned. But I did recognize the voice, and he did recognize me after I approached him. I think he has gained a bit of weight.
