I spent all day yesterday transferring my anime on to my PC and I did eventually finish. Now I need to go through and see which ones I'll keep and which to get rid of. Then again, I might just keep the whole lot, but it is taking up a lot of space on my hard drive..
In addition to transferring the files, I spent a lot of time cleaning up the place. I had to make space for the eventual flood of people coming over this afternoon. I wonder what my electricity bill will look like?
Anyhoo, I went out to pick up an extra table, some chairs, and a table cloth. Hopefully, I have prepared sufficiently.
The place looks like a mess though.

Seven people had confirmed their attendance for the LAN today, which was actually a good number for most of the games we were considering. Unfortunately, theMediaman was unable to attend so we were left with an odd number.
I went down to pick up HKL and his equipment since he did not have car. On the way down, I passed a sign indicating that University was closed at Dundas. This was not a good sign, I was headed in that direction. Fortunately enough for me, the last street that was accessible was the one I was actually planning on turning on! Lucky!
I was also lucky enough to find a spot in front of the building to park, and as I pulled in HKL walked out with his computer. Could we have timed it any better?
Well, just as soon as I got home, other people started arriving. Derelict, EK, and Laz showed up in quick succession as did Werdna. This meant that we had six people available right around the planned start time! This never happens. Usually people do not show up until a couple of hours later.
In any case, we started playing Quake and Starcraft, before settling in on some Counter-Strike. GWG came by later and he joined in. Growly was the last to show up. He was not really there for the gaming, but wanted to watch the UFC fight later that night.
We planned to go out for dinner, and I had hoped to go to some place where we could watch the game. However, most of the bars were packed, and since our stomachs were growling, we decided on Thai instead. I had never been to that restaurant before, and I parked a bit further than I thought I did, but the food was good, and we were next to a bar so we could find out how the game was going. In fact, Growly and Laz stuck around to watch the fight while the rest of us headed back to my place where we sat for a bit before packing up.
