During dinner last night, we got to talking about the last time I played poker in a casino. I mentioned that I had done that at Casino Regina. So one of the girls asked if that was in British Columbia. I looked at her incredulously for a few seconds before TN cut in and proclaimed,
"I know where it is. It's in Calgary."
The look on my face must have been enough to tell her that she was even further off than the first girl so she changed her answer.
"I mean Alberta."
I did say that she changed, not corrected her answer. This went on for quite some time. They wondered if Regina was the capital of Nova Scotia, and when I told them that it was not, TN announced that the reason was because the capital was St. John's. Apparently Vancouver and Montreal were the capitals of British Columbia and Quebec respectively. They were not able to remember all of the provinces (never remembered New Brunswick), and each time she brought up Saskatchewan, she quickly dismissed the possibility of Regina being the capital since,
"Saskatoon is the capital of Saskatchewan."
This is what Grade nine geography has wrought.
I'll make sure my kids learn their Canadian geography and history.

Oh, I was being asked a lot of questions last night along the lines of my availability. I was a little wary as to where these questions were leading, but the girl told me that she had a friend who blah blah blah blah twenty-one blah blah blah blah Filipino blah blah blah blah nursing blah blah blah blah I'll set you up.

Did I even get a word edgewise in here? Was I even listening? Do I care? Of course, I'm making the assumption that nothing will be happening..

MB found a good deal on some rims last week but apparently the guy already had a buyer lined up. Well, the deal fell through and we are next in line. I think we will be checking out the rims on Friday. If this works out, I will have to see if someone is willing to take my old set off of me!
That reminds me, I should check my tire pressure later.
