[10:31 AM EDT - No radio play.]

I had to get my car out of the garage early today (and tomorrow) because the garage was being cleaned. Of course, I got out at my regular time because I knew that I would not be the only person to have left my car in the lot. I was correct, but the lot was much emptier than usual.

When I got on to the highway, the traffic was really bad, but I continued on my usual route and wondered why so many people were staying on the collector lanes which were highly congested. I found out soon afterwards when I got stuck in a traffic jam. It was stop and crawl for the next twenty minutes while I tried to figure out what was going on.

I listen to the radio at home and in the car, but there was no mention of this traffic issue on the radio. In fact, while I was in the jam itself, the traffic report did come up but still made no mention of the congestion that I was in.

It was only when I got under one of the compass message boards which explained (in all caps) what was going on:

"Two left lanes blocked in express after Leslie."

Well, that explains a lot.

That stretch of highway took me around forty-five minutes to drive through, which on a good day, would have taken me five minutes, and on a bad day ten (maybe fifteen). Craziness!

On top of that, my laptop blue screened on me.

[10:32 AM EDT - Will update the past.]

I have been busy so I have not been able to write down the events in the past week or so. Not that there was much interesting going on mind you.

[11:06 AM EDT - Three Panel Soul.]

I found out that Matt and Ian of Mac Hall fame have started up another web comic called Three Panel Soul. The drawing style is completely different from before, although it looks very much like Dan Kim's Clone style. (I also noticed that the Minus comic stories are nearly as wacky as some of those stories that Dan Kim came up with..)

[11:39 AM EDT - Do you have a square to spare?]

Here comes a little toilet humor. This is the first time it has happened to me in this building. I got into the stall, started doing my business, and when I reached over to the toilet paper dispenser, I noticed that the roll (it was one of those industrial sized foot diameter rolls) was empty. No problem, I took a look at the second roll: It was empty.

Uh oh.

It was fortunate that these washrooms are fairly regularly frequented by people during the day, and even more lucky for me that a strand of toilet paper was hanging down from the adjoining stall. Before I could reach it, someone had started using those facilities and pulled the strand up. Fortunately, after some wall banging and repeated inquiries, I was able to get him to pass me a large wad of toilet paper.

I will remember to check next time.

[Thursday, March 22, 2007: I should stop stuffing myself.]

Oh dear, I just had another rather large dinner tonight. This is what happens when you go out and eat with a lot of people and they do not finish their food.

Anyway, I went to badminton tonight. I brought my old racquet with me since it is the only one I have left. It took me a little while to get used to it again since the grip was a lot smaller and the string was much looser. My shots were harder, but it was much harder to control my drops. Or I should say that my drops were more luck based than skill based.

In any case, I headed out to dinner right after badminton. There was a huge turnout (sixteen or seventeen people) from the motorcycle gang. I recognized most of the people there, but since I got there late (I thought the restaurant was at Market Village but was incorrect), I ended up at the small (four person) ostracized table where all the late people were. It also happened to be where the big eaters were, which was good since we could order for ourselves. (I petitioned for non-spicy food.)

It was good to see everyone again.
