[10:22 AM EDT - Driving Conditions: Final wrath of winter.]

So we did indeed get snow last night. We had a little hail during the afternoon, but it started snowing before I left the office. By the time I was going home from badminton, there was a lot of blowing snow on the highway, and traffic was already slowing down to compensate.

This morning I woke up to a semi-winter pseudo-wonderland. There was more snow on the ground than Christmas and there were plenty of accidents on the highways. Traffic had cleared out by the time I left the condo, so I was pretty confident on making good time.

While I was pulling up to the intersection, I noticed a car that was parked on the side with the hood up. The driver was sitting in the car, and I noticed jumper cables hooked up to the battery as I passed. The cables were not connected to anything else though, so I was wondering if he needed a jump?

Nobody else was stopping, and I was at the end of the traffic column, so I pulled over and got out to see how he was doing. I asked if he needed a jump, and he told me that that he could use the help if I could spent two minutes of my time. He mentioned that nobody else had stopped to offer assistance, which I thought was weird since it was a fairly affluent neighborhood. He got on the phone (I guess to call off whatever help he had requested) while I backed up into a more accessible position. Once I pulled up next to the car, I popped the hood and let him do all work. In two minutes, his car was running and everything was cleaned up and set to go.

That was my good Samaritan work for the day.
