[11:11 AM EST - The smell of tar in the morning.]

Ugh, they've been doing a lot of work on the roof of our office building for the past few weeks: taking down the old roof covering and putting up new gravel and tar. Our air intakes are probably on the roof, so when they're taring the area of the roof near our intake, we get a nice waft of tar flooding our offices. This has been going on now much longer than I thought it would. Hopefully it will be over soon.

This stuff isn't carcinogenic right?

If it were me, I'd take the lovely tar smell as a very good excuse for a work-from-home day.
