Ugh, they've been doing a lot of work on the roof of our office building for the past few weeks: taking down the old roof covering and putting up new gravel and tar. Our air intakes are probably on the roof, so when they're taring the area of the roof near our intake, we get a nice waft of tar flooding our offices. This has been going on now much longer than I thought it would. Hopefully it will be over soon.
This stuff isn't carcinogenic right?
I usually go out to these farewell lunches because the food is paid for. In addition, the venues are usually places with a lot of food, or at least has decent portions. I think I ate my fill today.
What I found interesting was that the mall that we were in was packed, so I put my bike up on the pedestrian walk next to the restaurant. Our seats were right next to the window so I could keep an eye on the bike. While I was leaving, I saw this senior citizen with a big grin on his face, nodding his head as I turned my bike and took off. He seemed to be enjoying my bike more than I was!
