Ah! I feel so much better now!
I had a couple of people I owed gift certificates too, and a couple of other people who I owed a beer and fate somehow conspired to have all four of them show up at tonight's meeting, with me actually prepared to give away the stuff. (I had thought about leaving it at home, but figured that on the off chance that anything could happen..) After the meeting, TL suggested that we go out to a bar, and that was a perfect opportunity to get them a drink. *gives thumbs up*
In addition, the first bar we went to had some sort of karaoke thing going on, there was some woman and a man doing some sort of duet, and it was packed, so we left after a couple of minutes. As we were leaving (at the end of the song), the lady at the microphone yelled at us,
"Don't leave on her account!"
Which got the requisite chuckle out of me.
The next bar we went to was completely empty, and the waitress was quite happy to see us. When I saw my bill afterward, I noticed that my iced tea wasn't on the recipt and I mentioned it to her. She told me that they like to give non-drinkers a break. Bonus! *pumps fist*
The drive up was not bad, I got to see the hill and noticed that they were making snow like crazy. The drive back was crazy. There was a snow storm going through and visibility was close to nil (in the air, and on the ground). But I made it home in one piece (no thanks to my driving and speeding of course).

I went out to karaoke with some ninjastars, some other ultimate players, and some of Pokey's friends. (I was sold on the idea when I realized that all her friends were female..)
The last time I went out to karaoke was last year and that was with (partially) the same crowd! We even went to the same place.
I ended up giving ZanZan a ride since she didn't have a vehicle, and we got there pretty much on time. ASH, VC, and Pokey were already there, as were Pokey's friends (who's names I've already forgotten). As the night wore on, some players from the Disciples of Love came out to join us, all of whom I didn't recognize. (But they were all much better singers than I.)
Anyway, it was all good, and everybody seemed to have a good time. I came straight home afterward.
