[10:37 AM EST - Yet another new kernel.]

I've updated the kernel on my server, and it was as easy as typing apt-get! Man, Debian is great! I also came across a very large package that doesn't seem to belong here. I looked it up and found out that I really don't need it. Hopefully nothing breaks when I take it out.

[7:26 PM EST - Pop goes the power source.]

My dad has been complaining for months about girl's computer. Saying that it keeps rebooting and hanging. Of course, I had put together a computer for them many moons ago, but they never use it. (Always insisting on using girl's computer.)

Anyway, I got fed up and told them that I'd switch computers. So I unplugged girl's computer, hooked in theirs (after taking it out from the KV switch), and as I attached the last cable (the power cable) so saw a flash of light and heard a popping sound.

Oh shoot.

I think something blew. I took a sniff and my sensors told me that something had indeed burned. Crap! I took apart the machine and tried to find the source of the smell, which wasn't hard, since the power source reeked of smoke. Well, now I'm in need of two power sources. If I ever get that extra motherboard and CPU that MF said that he had, then I'll definintely need some extra power. Fortunately for me, the computer that blew wasn't a critical one, not even a backup. But I'll have to put girl's computer back in it's place and put this sad puppy somewhere safe..

[Sunday, November 14, 2004: Are you gellin'? I'm gellin'.]

I went out to dim sum with girl and Dangerman. After a little bit of a meeting fiasco, we had lunch, and then girl took me out to get some gel and conditioner. I had no idea what to get, so she picked a couple and asked me if I liked the smell. She eventually picked one and handed it to me. Afterward, we headed to Future Shop where Dangerman had to pick up a router, and I bumped into a co-worker. I had forgotten his name! Argh!

Later on, we went by N's place to pick up more gel and conditioner. N wasn't in so we had this old man choose a gel for us. It was suggested that I try it on before we buy it, so I sat down and he put some gel in my palm.

I looked at the dollop and wondered what I was supposed to do with it. So I smushed it in my hands and put some in my hair. Let's just say that I wasn't applying it correctly. After several minutes of coaching, I think I figured out the art of gelling one's hair.

Actually I haven't, but it's time I learned I guess?
