I wasn't sure if it was a sign or not, but all the lights to the hill were green when I was driving to the resort this morning. Maybe it was a sign that things were going to be good? Or maybe it meant that it would take less time for me to meet my doom?

I was speeding home last night from dinner and really needed to go to the washroom. (I had four iced teas during dinner.) Despite my urgency, I noticed one area of traffic that was moving exceptionally slowly. So being cautious, I slowed down myself. I noticed a car just ahead of me and two lanes to the right (I was in the passing lane) had a strange looking side mirror. Something seemed to be attached to it. I didn't notice anything else out of the ordinary with that car, so I continued to match speed and then slowly pass through that group of cars. As I started to come abreast of the vehicle with the cancerous side mirror, I noticed letters that had been written on the side of the car: Police.
I couldn't see the letters until I had come up next to them (I guess they're designed to reflect only in one direction?) so I slowed my car down. So did they. They also pulled into the lane next to me, so I was left with a conundrum: Should I try passing? Should I slow down and wait? Should I honk my horns and flash my lights and hope nobody notices?
My decision was made for me when I noticed a car behind me approaching at great speed. I decided to slow down and slip behind the cop. I watched as this speeding car caught up to us, completely unawares that a cop was sitting in our convoy. But as he was just about to pass me, the police lights went off and we all slowed down. I'm not sure what kind of beef that cop had with the car in front of them, but the two of them pulled off to the side, and the rest of us continued on, at a much slower pace than before.
