[3:21 PM EST - More busy than anticipated.]

I took the day off today so I could take it easy and make my way down to the KW area without rushing. Later on, I decided to help out at the zone swap since I didn't think I had anything planned. Then, I wanted to have lunch with Squishy, and I needed to pick up stuff from the hill, and I still have to pack, and I had to get stuff..

Suddenly my day off seemed more busy than a normal work day!

I skipped lunch, and did the swap thing. It wasn't so bad as we had a fair number of people show up to help out with the setup. I think I got most of my chores done, although I have this nagging feeling that I forgot something or that I will forget something before I head out.

On the way back to the house, I noticed a truck that had a very large picture of a woman taking a shower painted on the side. I would consider that good advertising, although I might wonder if it's caused a number of traffic accidents..

[3:22 PM EST - The need to catch up.]

I've been so busy that I haven't had time to write up entries. That's usually a bad sign. I'll see if I can write some things up before I head out.

[3:52 PM EST - No more antibodies.]

I finished off my antibiotics last night. It felt good to know that I'm done with that and have stopped coughing. Now all I need to do is to worry about all this other stuff I need to do.

Great. I just hope I don't forget.

Anyway, first thing's first: I need to pack.

[4:00 PM EST - Extra shirts.]

Oh yeah, I got a package last night. For some reason, the Heart and Stroke foundation mailed me a package with a Ride for Heart T-shirt and a dri-fit shirt. I found that odd since I had picked them both up ages ago. I guess they screwed up? What am I going to do now? I know that the large one won't fit me (since I exchanged it at the ride).

Hmm.. back to packing. I also have a gift to wrap.

[4:18 PM EST - Slow is not good..]

Oh boy, I'm cutting it close. If I take any longer, I'll get hit by rush hour traffic, if I'm not too late already. I'm just about done though.

[4:26 PM EST - What's the point of an honorary membership..]

If people won't recognize you at the event?

[Sunday, November 7, 2004: A three hour tour. A three hour tour.]

My mistake of leaving the house around four cost me quite some time as the traffic on the highway was so heavy that biking would've been just as fast for me. (Well, I'm exaggerating a bit, but only by a bit.)

I was tired from the week's work and the fact that I got up so early this morning so I found myself falling asleep at the wheel even before I got out of the city! So I pulled into a parking lot and took a nap. After I got up, I got onto the highway, and right into a huge traffic jam. It was bumper to bumper, and virtually no movement. I can't imagine how people drive through this crap all the time!

Anyway, after I got out of the city, I was able to make it to the show without much of a hitch. I didn't watch all too much since, well, I'm not that crazy about anime anymore, but it was weird seeing all of these people at the show that I recognized. There were, of course, many there who I didn't recognize, but they looked as weird as the once who weren't there anymore, so the total weirdness seemed to stay constant throughout the years.

HaremPresident, FlyingS, and I went out for food afterward, but it took us four tries before we found a (Chinese) restaurant that was open. It was one that I hadn't been to before, but it was busy, the food was cheap, and the food was.. really cheap. *pokes at rice*

There were a lot of students there, some were even kind of cute, but the place did look a little run down.

Afterward, we headed to a Tim Horton's where the CTRL-A group generally hangs out after a show, but there weren't many people there. Most apparently said that they were too tired to stay out that night, so the three of us decided to call it a night. I wanted to get some red poppy quarters after my botched attempt earlier this week. To do that, I ended up buying an XL hot chocolate. Yummy!

So I got to see HaremPresident's place. It was fairly large for two people, but then again, they've also got a cat (who's quite a bit of an attention suck).
