[5:34 PM EST - Mortgage stuff.]

Hmm, no entries yet. I should throw up something. How about a mortgage link? I think I've got enough for 25% but can I make it to half?

[11:17 PM EST - Absolutely nothing.]

Ugh. This is unproductive.

I went to badminton today and didn't play all that well. As the soles in my indoor shoes had worn through, I threw them out and replaced them with my orthodics when I played badminton. Since I left my shoes in Waterloo last weekend, my orthodics were also left behind, thus I didn't have any soles for my shoes. I played soleless, but my feet got a little burned by the end of the night.

Everybody was too busy for lunch today, so I went by myself. I figured that it was a good time to check out a new restaurant that we had passed by before. I got there and noticed that the place was closed even though the hours of operation listed that the place was closed at four. I was able to look inside and noticed that the place didn't look used recently, so I don't think they've been open for a while (even though they've got big signs showing off that the place just got new management and the like). Ah well, some other time maybe?

I went to Harvey's instead. I wanted to try out that new grilled salmon sandwich. The girl (who was cute) who took my order took a long time to find the button on the cash register. I saw "hot dog combo" show up on the display so I confirmed my order with her:

"Salmon combo?"

To which she smiled and nodded. The price was off too, it was much less than I had expected. I inquired again about the price, but the lady next to her told me that the price was different because I had ordered poutine with the combo. *scratches head* Hey, I'm not going to argue with a pretty face. *forks over cash*

Actually, I wanted to pay by credit card, but apparently you can only use it on orders over ten dollars. Something to remember for later.

The place was actually empty when I got there, but during my order, a dozen people appeared in the restaurant and lined up behind me. Seeing that it was two in the afternoon, I found that influx of people to be.. strange. But I beat the rush, so that's all that mattered?

I watched warily as the chef threw a hot dog bun into the heating rack. I was debating whether or not I should say something, but I was beaten to the punch. A customer after me was also ordering the salmon combo and they caught the error. After dealing with that customer, they came up to me and told me that the difference was a dollar and thirty-six cents. In my favour.

*blink*

I must've had a very stunned expression on my face since she reassured me that everything was okay, and deposited the money on my tray.

If it's any consolation for the rest of you folks, the salmon didn't taste all that hot.

Maybe I'll just donate the four dollars (that I ended up getting) to charity?

[11:32 PM EST - Price checking.]

I've been reading over that mortgage article and tried to figure out how much it would cost for me to get my own condominium unit. With my current salary and area that I'm considering, I can probably afford.. a one bedroom apartment.

If I take out a hundred grand loan and amortize over ten years, I'll need..

<- checks mortgage calculator.

Hmm, a hundred grand, at six percent, over ten years.. that's about $1,110.21 a month. Throw on top of that four hundred bucks for maintenance fees and tax, and I'm over fifteen hundred a month. Let's say sixteen hundred. Not too shabby. It can be done. I don't have any car payments, and I don't have any outstanding loans.

What do you folks think?
