[11:36 AM EST - How can I turn down free food?]

Man, with all of these Christmas parties, how can I resist free food? Hmm.. I should start listing those events somewhere.

[11:31 PM EST - Journal update.]

I've been thinking of how I should change the journal form, and I've come back to the conclusion that popup windows suck. (Especially now that I'm playing with a tabbed browser like Firefox.)

I'm going to drop those popup windows in the next itteration and use hidden (and not so hidden) divs instead. It shouldn't add that much more to the size of the page, as the components have shrunk in size over time (due to better coding) so I think it should be fine.

[11:37 PM EST - Broomball and badminton again.]

I went to broomball last night and we had a ton of people show up for this game. It was pretty good though, and I got a lot of running in.

I ended up getting a good whack on my left shin though, and didn't notice how bad it was until I took a shower afterward. At least there's a scab there now so that it's not so bad when I wash up in the morning.

I went to badminton this evening after work. I figured that I needed some exercise after missing out on Monday. I played okay, although about an hour in, I ended up twisting my ankle when I tried shuffling in the wrong direction.

I guess I'm pretty lucky that I have moderately stiff ligaments. I landed on my foot sideways, twisting my right ankle laterally. Had I put my full weight down on that foot, I wouldn't want to know what would've popped out. It still hurt though initially, but I knew it wasn't that bad after lying on the ground for a while.

Very lucky indeed.

Mind you, it was the same ankle I sprained three years ago and it's become fairly stiff ever since.

[11:43 PM EST - What else did I miss..]

Oh, Derelict and I went to visit HT at his restaurant for lunch. The food was good as always, but the shrimp was overcooked. (You never see shrimp offered in those situations normally since they're always kept warm and end up getting overcooked.)

Oh, they were also hosting a meeting while we were eating there and SX was asking HT if they had any power bars. He sat there for a minute with a stunned look on his face before realizing exactly what she wanted. The people in the meeting needed extra outlets, and thus needed extra power bars to plug into, but HT is so into the food business now that his first thought was that they wanted PowerBars! (Which they didn't have.)

Ah, what time in another field can do to you.

We'll probably go back and visit him once more before the end of the year.
