Ugh, KM's going away for a few days, so we needed to get a lot of work done today. I think we made a lot of progress, but not as much as we could've. With all that work hanging over us, it was hard to completely enjoy the free meal that night. (On top of that, there was so much food!)
Anyhoo, Derelict, 2046-LM and I decided to head to the mall early and check out the arcade before going to dinner. I headed home to drop off my stuff and pick up some tokens that I got ages ago. (Prices have gone up since then.)
It was my first time parking underground there. I think I'll do it more often when the place isn't busy (which would be never).
There wasn't much in the arcade to check out, but Time Crisis 3 was entertaining. We pumped quite a number of tokens in there, although my partners kept dying on me too quickly.
When we were done, we headed to the restaurant. The party had started, but it was only half full. (The place was more than twice the size of last year's party.) Many people brought a guest, and there were clients present as well, so the turnout was quite large.
Speaking of large, we had tons of food. I got placed with all the vegetarians in the group (there were three of them) so we had seven people sharing the food meant for ten. On top of that, the two women didn't eat much and Derelict hates Chinese food. This meant that we had four people trying to eat the quantites that nine were supposed to consume! That was close to impossible! (Even though the food was quite good.)
Near the end of the party, Derelict, 2046-LM, Laz, and I snuck back out into the arcade to have a game of foozball.
By the time we got back, many people had left, and most of the rest were leaving. Some people started to sing, but I didn't stick around long for that. (It was already near eleven and staying up late on a work night is never a good thing.)
So I headed home and tried to get some sleep..
