[4:45 PM EDT - Getting rid of games.]

My dad wants to clear out the basement a bit and we've got a whole bunch of board games and puzzles that we don't need anymore. Anyone interested?

[Monday, September 6, 2004: Transporter.]

Today was going to be packed. I was supposed to help move stuff, go to the dentist, head to the bank, and.. that's about it. Unfortunately for me, it was going to get busier.

Since I went to bed so late last night, I wasn't able to drag my butt out of bed. As such, I canceled my plans to go to the bank, as it was in the opposite direction I needed to go for my second errand.

I went to get gas and get the car washed. I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but I wanted to make sure that the car looked good. I was only late by ten minutes or so (mostly because I was told to meet west of the intersection, while the meeting place was east of the intersection so I ended up having to double back).

Maybe if I was a little earlier, we would've been done quicker, and I wouldn't have been (half-an-hour) late for my dental appointment. *sigh*

The appointment went well. It was just a semi-annual checkup and cleanup. It went quicker than I had anticipated, and I was soon out and wondering what I was going to do for the afternoon.

I called up Dangerman and we decided to go for food and a movie. So we started calling up people to see who was interested in going out. Dangerman called Laz.. and that's when we found out that he was in the hospital..

So our plans changed somewhat. We started calling around to see who would be interested in visiting Laz in the hospital. Unfortunately, we didn't have anyone's phone numbers except for Werdna. (Who agreed to come out and join us.)

So Dangerman went to pick him up and we met up at my place. Then we headed off to buy a get well card. I wanted to go to the card store but we were five minutes too late. Fortuntaely, Walmart was still open so we were able to get something not overly cheesy.

We got to the hospital and we parked near one end of the hospital. I remembered entering the hospital at the other end, so I chided Dangerman for taking this spot. We entered the main building and started looking for his room. After wandering around a bit, we got lost and headed back to the reception area to find out where we were supposed to go.

There was a nurse there who gave us directions to the room, and as we started walking there, I realized that we went to the building that Dangerman had parked next to! Argh!

Anyway, I had forgotten about the card, but fortunately the car was nearby, so we got the card, and found the room. It was then when I realized that I may have made a mistake. What if he was sleeping? I was suddenly filled with dread that I didn't plan ahead well enough. Fortunately, my karma kicked in and we found out that he was up, concious, and quite aware. Tenshi was there too, so we hung around and talked for a bit.

Afterward, the four of us went out for dinner. Dangerman wanted Chinese food, but we decided on Thai instead (I had a craving for pad thai) and it was close enough to Chinese food..

We went to a restaurant near the hospital and the food was very yummy! (Albeit a little expensive.) It was Laz who suggested the place actually. The decour looked much too European, but the food was pretty authentic.

Finally, it was getting late so we decided to forgo the movie idea (we were leaving "Hero" for Sunday since Growly wasn't able to make it out tonight and I didn't particularly want to see the Exorcist) and head home.
