Ah, I figured out why I wasn't getting more than version 4.7 of messenger. There was windows messenger, and MSN messenger! They're two different things, and it seems as if they're not updating windows messenger in favour of MSN messenger.
Since I don't actually use messenger at home, it would explain why I was so confused.
With regard to media player ten, I just went to the update page and it udpated my player.

I've been trying to stay good and keep the letter "a" in meant, but it's a bad habit of mine to drop it. I wonder how many people have the same problem as I? Anyway, I fixed the typos in the journal, although I don't know why I bothered since I'll just get some sort of spell checker to do all of this work anyway (if I ever get around to getting that spell checker to work).

I was a little worried about recruitment night since I didn't feel at all prepared for the event. Fortunately we had a number of patrollers from our hill show up and the time passed by very quickly. I was able to talk to a number of people and get some things sorted out.
Now I'm watching a bit of Last Exile that MF lent me.
