[9:15 AM EDT - Why no ten?]

That's funny. I'm able to get messenger version 6.2 and media player 10 on my laptop but not on my desktop(s). Very strange..

[9:22 AM EDT - Getting money back?]

Funny, I remember going through my Visa bill a few years ago and noticed that a reversed transaction made in US funds actually cost me money. The reversed transaction properly credited me for the US funds charged initially, but because of the currency conversion ended up costing me money because the conversion rates were different when converting to or from Canadian funds. What was up with that? I didn't raise a stink about it because it was business related and I just charged the company, but my eye caught an article in the paper this morning about a class action lawsuit against the bank because of this hidden fee.

[9:30 AM EDT - Move off the road..]

Ever since I've started my project not to pass in the middle lane unless the car in front of me was way under the limit, or was a truck, or looked dangerous. (I won't tailgate though.) I've noticed that there were a number of cars that tend to stay in the middle lane even though traffic is zipping along by them on both sides. This was highlighted when a large (and loaded) truck passed a car this morning on the outside lane. I stayed behind him until he switched to the slow lane, but I'm not sure what prompted him/her to switch lanes (considering how long the car was staying there). I didn't stick around for long.

So some good points to remember when you're not driving in the outside lane and have no cars in front of you:

  1. If you're being tailgated, you might be in the wrong lane.
  2. If cars are passing you on the right, you're probably in the wrong lane.
  3. If trucks are passing you on the right, you're in the wrong lane.
  4. If large, loaded transport trucks are passing you on the right, change lanes already!

[5:30 PM EDT - A Squishy quote.]

I heard this from Squishy:

"All of the married women I knew were nice, so I figured if I married someone, she'd be nice too."

At least that's what her uncle thinks.

[Friday, September 10, 2004: Another Squishy night.]

I went to visit Squishy tonight since she wasn't feeling well and was commanded to skip out on volleyball. I took that time to drag the (now mostly fixed) computer back down. We had a good chat on various things, and I don't think I caught anything from her.. *pops a pill*
