We are in the middle of a winter storm right now. I left for work a little earlier than usual and actually made it to the office on time! The main reason is because that there was just a fraction of the number of cars on the road than there normally was. Everyone was going slowly, but just because there were a lot less people, traffic kept flowing.
The snow was pretty slippery, and I had to be extra careful when I was driving to work, but once I got to the parking lot next to the building, I was free to play around! The lot was less than half full and mostly unploughed, so I drove onto the unploughed section and started slip sliding around. I did not have much time to do anything, but I was not able to do donuts, or drift, or anything. I did not even fish tail.
So yeah, I got to the office on time, but I showed up a tad bit late.
Well, we cleaned up the bathroom because MJNL was tired of seeing it so filthy. Now, off to dinner!

MJNL and I went to a restaurant called Casa Mia which we had passed by before, and wanted to try out. It was an Italian restaurant and I was looking for one to eat at after the one close to my condo moved (or shut down). The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable, so I am sure we would be going back there again.
We went straight to AI's place after for poker. I was late, but I had warned them that I would be late anyway so it was all good.
It was not all good when I lost twenty dollars on my first three hands. It was only slightly slower than last time. However, I did manage to win back my money by the end of the night so that I broke even. The final battle royal where four people went all in on the pot had me being the lone folder. (I folded because I was up thirty cents and wanted to keep my money and not blow it on a chance like last time.)
It was fun though, and MJNL seemed to enjoy it as well. After that last hand, it seemed like a good time to stop. We would have needed four people to buy in, and it was getting late.

Did you try doing reverse-donuts? (driving backwards?) W' front-wheel drive, going forwards doesn't really work... (says the girl from the north, who learned to drive on an ice road)

Actually, EK did mention that it would be easier to do donuts going backwards with these front wheel drive vehicles. I did not try though, I kept playing around with my forward sliding.. (Still fun!)
