I was to meet up with HKL to pick up the car after work. The plan was to go out for dinner, then drive around for a bit before calling it a night. We picked up MJNL and went out for dinner. I had thought of going to the restaurant where I got a falafel sandwich before AI's party but forgot the name. Fortunately, we found it after walking around for a bit. Unfortunately, the place was packed. We wandered around and found another restaurant which had some really good food for decent prices.
After dinner, we went up to Yorkdale where the two of them went around in circles, well, loops in a fairly empty part of the parking lot. Just as MJNL got into the car, a police cruiser rolled in and parked at a spot where we were driving around in, and none of us were willing to risk doing something silly in front of them so we sat in the car, and MJNL mimicked what she would have done had she actually been driving. (It is good practice anyway right?)
Well, HKL seemed like a natural when he tried to drive the car. He had very little problem picking it up, and certainly got the hang of it a lot sooner than I ever did. MJNL was closer to my level of skill. I think those YouTube videos helped him get a better understanding as to what to do, but I thought I had been prepared too when I first started learning..
