We were invited out to dinner tonight with the aunts and uncles on my side of the family, and we needed to go to Costco to pick up a helmet. This required someone with a membership, which was Garfield.
We met up with Garfield at the store, and quickly found out that there were no helmets for sale. However, we all ended up picking up stuff to buy because the deals were so good. I had to force myself not to look at anything else after I picked up an eighth item or else I would have continued grabbing more items. So instead of a helmet, we walked away with quite a lot of groceries.
We had lunch at the Pickle Barrel right afterwards, but it took over an hour for the food to arrive. Disappointing! Because of the wait, we did not finish our meal until around four, and with dinner scheduled for six, I was worried that I would just be sitting during the meal.
We returned some skates after, did a few more chores, found out that dinner was postponed to seven, and showed up late anyway. Only the aunts and uncles (and my parents) were present. None of the cousins were there, but MJNL seemed to have a good time. I also managed to eat quite a bit of food despite being full.
