Tonight the plan was to go out to MJNL's parent's place to have dinner with her family. I was told about a number of traditions about New Year's day that I do not recall hearing before, like:
Were the ones that came to mind. MJNL was filling me in on these traditions, but I do not remember ever abiding by any of them before.
In any case, we went to her parent's place where they had tons of vegetarian dishes. girl would be proud. Also we ended up getting some red packets as well, and the highlight of the night was seeing Jeanious on television! She was in India, and the news was showing the celebrations down in India, and Jeanious was in one shot, talking with someone. Unfortunately, we never got to record it since the VCR was not set up properly.
