The plan for today was to get HKL to practice a bit more with manual driving, so he came over in the afternoon to pick up the car. I had not visited Squishy in many, many moons and this was a great excuse to drive across the city to check out the new place.
After last night's lesson, I was very confident in HKL's driving skills so I had no problem directing him at first through residential roads, and then into heavy (stop and go) traffic, and finally onto the regular streets. By the time we got to Squishy's place, we had gone through just about every type of urban travel except for highway driving.
The new place looked pretty good despite being in a half finished state. One of the doors that had not been replaced yet reminded me of our old house in Montreal, which was also a bungalow, which was also built around the same time. Huh.
I directed HKL to take the highway back to my place, since it would be faster, and good practice for him as well, despite it being easier since he would not have to stop as often.
After we got back to my place, we watched some 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' and had some leftovers before he went back home with the car.
I went to hockey right after that with a new wrist brace. The brace worked wonders actually since I felt that I could actually do some stick handling and was able to control the puck during the game.
Huh, they did not record one of my goals. Ah well.
