I really like those CMSs that they use on the highways. If there are any accidents or construction up ahead, the signs will point out what the problem is and I can take the appropriate action to avoid the area of congestion.
On the way back from badminton tonight, I looked up at the sign and read:
"LEFT 2 LANES BLOCKED AFTER WARDEN IN COLLECTORS"
Which was lucky, since the transfer lanes to the express lanes was just ahead so I quickly jumped in. Right after I had transferred over, I hit a traffic jam.
I figured that it was a bunch of drivers who were 'rubbernecking' since the traffic was on the right hand side. I moved over to the left, and slowly continued down. Traffic was pretty bad on the highway, but was surprised me the most was the fact that the collector lanes were pretty clear. Why would the congestion be so bad on this side when the accident was on the other side?!?
Ten minutes later, my question was answered when I passed by the accident site. Two right lanes in the express ramp were blocked off by emergency vehicles and they were only just starting to clear out.
What the hey? Did I misread the sign? Curses! *shakes fist*

I was planning on getting my hair cut tonight after work, but I was so in the habit of going to badminton right after work that I forgot about it until I had changed. By then it was much too late for me to go back to trim this mop on my head.
