The plan for today was to drop off MJNL at her dentist, go to my optometrist, have lunch with my parents, pack and clean up, and then head off on our trip.
Things were actually going pretty well, until my appointment dragged on, and on, and on. Part of the problem was getting those eye drops to dilate my pupils. It takes time for them to take affect, so I had to sit around and wait for a while.
After the appointment, I picked up MJNL, and went to take my parents out to lunch. After the meal, we picked up some meat for BL and me for dinner (since the other food was going to be spicy) and headed back home to pack.
I made sure that the place was pretty clean before heading out. The drive out was pretty uneventful, and we arrived without any incident. Actually, the map I printed out was left in the trunk, but fortunately, I remembered where we were supposed to get off and the general location where to go, and MJNL's memory took over after that.
