Well, I just got back from Stonaday's wedding, and it was pretty good actually. There were a lot of people there that I recognized, and even more interesting was when I introduced MJNL to HKL. MJNL did not get the reference, but I sure did.
I thought that I had written an entry on my abortive attempt to create a video DVD from my parent's photos in Europe. I think I did start one, but the entry got lost when I turned off the computer. Doh!
Anyway, I had originally copied the photos straight onto the DVD, but that was not what my dad wanted. He wanted to be able to view these files on the DVD player. So to that end, I got a program called DVD slideshow GUI that will create slide shows for DVDs from a bunch of photos. It is free and has quite a number of decent functions.
I also found another program called MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter to convert those Quicktime movies into AVI format.
The most recent version of DVD slideshow GUI kept crashing on me so I have fallen back to an earlier version of the program. I hope that I have better luck with it.
