Well, today was my turn to meet the parents. The plan was to go to MJNL's parent's place for Thanksgiving lunch and then come back to do work.
That was the plan.
Well, things started off slowly when we got up too late, left too late, and arrived a little late. We were not, however, the last ones to arrive. In fact, it felt like we had arrived at a good time. I got to meet the family, as all of the siblings had come home for Thanksgiving. This also included all of the significant others plus one friend. There were fourteen of us packed around a dining table designed for eight and there was a lot of food.
After lunch, we stuck around and played Bang! for a few rounds. It was entertaining, and was like playing Killer or Murder but with more rules and abilities like Magic: The Gathering.
Because of the time we spent playing Bang! we ended up staying for dinner, and then taking off to visit MJNL's grandmother for a bit before heading back home.
All in all, I think it was a fairly good experience. I had no problems with anyone, and I do not think anyone had any problems with me. I did not realize that I was the oldest one in the group (excluding the parents).
