[Monday, October 8, 2007: Shopping and poker.]

Today, we did not have anything planned to do together, so we went out to return the crappy ironing board that I had bought last week and picked up a new one. When we brought the ironing board back for a refund, the girl behind the counter told us that many other people had returned that same board due to similar defects (either the device would not lock, or the legs were not stable). What the heck? Why were they still selling this product? In any case, we got through pretty quickly since I did not have to explain anything!

Afterward, we came back and I did a bit of cleaning before I headed up to meet up with KT and crew for dinner, and then poker. The poker was good, and I did not lose as much money as I thought that I would. I did make two major mistakes that did cost me a lot of money, but in the end, I still was only down by a small amount. It was all good in the end!

The ride back was fairly eventful. It became very foggy, so foggy in fact that the street lights on the highway could not penetrate out to the furthest lanes on the highway, so that riding on the highway was like riding down a dark country street. My visor would also get covered in dew that made visibility a bit more difficult, but so as not to scare the readers, I had no problems getting back home.

"The opposite of the religious fanatic is not the fanatical atheist but the gentle cynic who cares not whether there is a god or not."
