[1:09 AM EST - It was the beret.]

I was not really listening to her as she was telling me how her new year's went. Most of it was in Chinese and so fast and drowned out by ambient noise that I would not have been able to understand it anyway. I was just happy that she was talking, and she was happy to be there.

Neither of us were really paying attention to the game. She was commenting how tight her pants were, and after that my concentration was shot. I told her that my poor play was because of her, and we were laughing hard enough to make us a rather pitiful force on our side of the court. But I really didn't care whether I played well or not. I was just happy to be there.

I wanted to talk some more in an environment that was more conducive to conversation, but there were so few people out that I never got to sit down. I figured that I would get a chance near the end. But an annoying woman forced me to play a rematch, even though she was sitting down for quite some time. The woman never even considered asking her if she wanted to join.

I could not bring myself to come up with an excuse to sit. "Maybe after this game" I told myself. But in the middle of the match, I saw her stand up and wrap her scarf around her neck. I watched out of the corner of my eye as she put on her cap and slowly adjusted it on her head. My partner was yelling at me, making fun of my mistakes and trying to get my attention but I was still watching her when she put on her coat. I gave her a forlorn glance which she returned with a sad wave. She said her good byes and walked out of the gym. My mind returned to the game.

If she were only single.

I hope this entry was a dream sequence!!! Unless you're ready to be a homewrecker or break the "code" among men. If you are, then you should've shown more interest by dumping the ol' lady to sit with her!

I have no plan on being a home wrecker. I was just writing down some thoughts.
