I was driving to work this morning and noticed that traffic was worse than usual. It was either a case of the Mondays, or there was some sort of blockage up ahead. I listened to the radio for updates, but traffic was slow on the collector lanes so I switched to the express ramp.
Soon after, the traffic report came on the air and started explaining that the eastbound lanes were slow in the area where I was right in the middle of. Okay, tell me something I did not know. The announcer continued by saying that there was a multi-car pile up with only the left lane getting by, and that people should be switching over to the collector lanes.
*blink*
I had just passed the last transfer lanes!
*shakes fist*
Fortunately for me, if there was an accident there, everything got cleared out by the time I got there. The congestion that remained was due to residual traffic.
