[Monday, October 23, 2006: Wet curling.]

I had yet another late night last night so I got up late again this morning. Afternoon really.

I had very little planned to do today, except that I was told that I should come out curling in the afternoon. I spent most of the day working on the FTP site, but that was about it.

I rode to curling and took probably the slowest route to get there so I ended up being late. It didn't help to find out that the DVP was closed when I tried to get on it.

I played pretty poorly, and I even fell! I found out that I had the slider on the wrong foot, but because my shoes had no traction, it didn't matter all that much.

After the game, I looked for that guy who looked like Zippy, and found him outside talking with some girl. When I heard his voice, I knew that it was him. (He has a very distinctive voice.) So we chatted for a bit, and it was then that I recalled that he had picked up curling after he stopped playing broomball: He figured that as a Canadian, he had to play some sort of ice sport. Curling seemed like a logical choice. (Uses brooms and shoes like broomball, but a there's lot less running.)

Anyway, I'll probably see him next week so I'll see if I can drag him out the next time MJO is in town.

Hey, say Hi to him for me as well. I'd suggest giving him my email address, but from what I recall he never answered emails anyway.

Probably not back in Canada for xmas by the way. =(
