Okay, I had things pretty much scheduled in my head for today as I did with all the things I had planned for yesterday.
I was going to give BL a ride, get my heated grips installed, curl, and then watch the bike movie.
Everything was timed perfectly. Again.
Of course, nothing ever works out. The only thing different with well planned events is that the failures are more spectacular and.. unplanned.
I got up late for one, which was okay since I never got word from BL. I was just about to leave to get my grips installed when I got contacted by BL, and then MJO so I had to chat for a bit.
I also needed to buy some stuff for MIBAgentQ, which slowed me down even further. I ended up being about forty minutes late. The installation took longer than I had anticipated. We had some electrical difficulties as we were trying to find the right wire to use, and the soldering iron wasn't that good. I ended up leaving about half an hour late.
On my way down to the curling club, I stopped off at the arena and spent many minutes wondering where the club was, until I continued riding and realized that the curling lanes were in a different building down the street! I was about forty minutes late for that.
Then we had drinks afterwards, so I hung around and realized that there was no way that I was going to be able to watch the movie. I did find out that one of our opponents played ultimate and she had played against the ninjastars! We're famous!
Oh, while I was watching the next group of curlers play, I noticed one guy there who looked very much like Zippy! I wanted to go down to check if it was really him, but we were leaving and I figured that he'd be there next week?
Derelict, GWG and I ended up going out for food afterwards. I got a lot of stares from my equipment, but at least the hostess was really cute.
