[10:27 AM EDT - Where's that F(ing) section?]

I was going through the paper today and was looking for the F section. The crossword (and bridge column) was on F6, so I wanted to read it before I went to work. Well, I flipped through the sections a couple of times before I went to the full index to see what section F was. Well, there was no F section, but there were articles in F. *blinks*

Someone definitely screwed up in the quality control area here. (I eventually found it in the J section.)

[3:51 PM EDT - I've got a lot of mouses.]

I was informed by ET that any new word will use the standard English methods to pluralize. i.e. add an "s" or "es". Older words will retain their archaic spelling (like geese, and knives). Thus, I shouldn't have told her that the box was full of mice. It's actually full of (computer) mouses rather than (live) mice.

[11:41 PM EDT - News Bytes: Unbreakable Speed.]

I just perused through the ShackNews. I found that this article reminded me of 'Unbreakable'. Then there's talk of invisible transistors. It also seems like wireless is slowing down..

[11:56 PM EDT - Ultimate Brock.]

The season's first ultimate game was tonight. (Well, it was on Tuesday but it was rained out (and I didn't trust my muffler yet).

Anyway, we played pretty well. Especially in the last half when the guys were doing crazy defense. I mean crazy! Diving to knock down discs and the like just seems a little.. crazy doesn't it? Anyway, I decided not to go out to lunch with the team since I was planning to meet the Vermont crew at the Crown and Firkin.

So, right after the game, I hopped in the car and drove East. I came up to Brock and headed north (I had printed out the map for the website so I have a vague idea where I was going). I continued on until I found out that I was out of the city. Strange. Staring at the map, I realized that the road was acutally Brock South! So I turned around, passed over the highway and headed south.

I travelled for a while until I realized that I was in an industrial park. Eventually I reached the end of the road, so I turned around and checked the map again. Hmm.. Brock Street South. *looks at street sign* Brock ROAD South?!? Street, road, what's the difference? Apparently ten kilometers. Ugh. I went back onto the highway and found the other Brock street and went south. I found myself in a residential area when I decided to check the map yet again. That's when I noticed the highway at the bottom of the map. If I'm making the assumption that most maps have North as "up", then I went the wrong way. So I turned around and went back north, looking for the street (there are only two streets labeled and one was Dundas). Eventually, I found Dundas and I knew I had gone too far, but I didn't see the other street. So I made another U-turn and took some side roads instead, and eventually came to a street which I couldn't find a sign to. Frustrated, I looked around and saw, to my chagrin, a sign for the Crown and Firkin. Hrumph.

I parked the car and went inside. I wandered around a bit looking for people but then I realized something. They weren't there. I remember that the first place they went to was actually at a different bar (I don't remember which one) so they probably wouldn't have come here. (Of course, I didn't know since nobody e-mailed a location.)

So.. I headed home.
