So happy Victoria Day everybody (every Canadian at least). I read an article in the paper as to the origin of the Victoria Day long weekend.
It's another great day out there. I should go out and enjoy it huh?
You probably don't want to be eating when you read this.
I know that this was part of a larger dream, but the last part of the dream creeped me out so much that I forgot everything else. All I remember was that I was sitting down looking at my bare feet. The looked and felt find even though I had four normal toes, and three elongated toes (many knuckled and ended with big toes). Each of my toes was covered by some sort of coloured plastic cover that covered the nail and head of the toe. They were colour coded, and it looked like it made some sort of rainbow pattern, although a few of them were broken. My feet felt kind of funny, like something was out of place, and when I felt my feet with my hand, I could feel that a couple of bones weren't aligned properly. When I pressed down on the crossed bones, I felt and saw another (normal) toe pop out from between a couple other toes. A bit of jiggling around and I could have the hidden toe pop out from between another pair of toes. I tried this out on the other foot with the same results.
Then I started to look at the plastic covers. One was broken at the nail and I tried to see underneath and was horrified to see that there was only a cavity where my nail would've been. There was nothing in there! I decided then and there to pull off all of the plastic covers, so I began with the leftmost toe on my left foot (which happened to be an elongated toe). As I pulled the cover off, I was surprised by a swarm of fruit fly sized flies escaping from under the plastic and scattering in every direction. I had pulled the cover off just enough to expose the nail and was disgusted to see a swarm of maggots writhing around in the toe nail cavity..

I watched 'Ringu'. Don't watch this alone and in the dark kids. The user comment on IMDB is pretty bang on. I won't spoil anything, but was.. creepy. What the.. was that the phone?

I found two interesting links on the ShackNews. The first is about the Ghyslain kid getting some dough. (I haven't seen the movie myself but apparently it's everywhere.)
The second is about some guy who wrote a book on the history of masturbation.
Two more links I originally found on ArsTechnica and Hard OCP (but were also on the ShackNews) is about the new Einstein Papers that have been posted on the net and improved communications in the battlefield respectively.

Sadly, no. We do get next monday off though, and for no obvious reason. Not that I'm complaining...
