[10:24 AM EDT - I forgot to launder my ice cream.]

Argh! I completely forgot about the free ice cream deal at Baskin Robbins yesterday. *sigh* I was too caught up with getting those CDs burned and making it out to dinner that it slipped out of my mind. Ah well, that might explain why the restaurant was so empty..

Oh yeah, remind me to do my laundry tonight. I've got a mound of stuff to wash. I'll also have to get my tire fixed today. It's really annoying to have to pump it up every day..

It's too bad I forgot my dream last night. I remember that it was quite.. interesting. But it all fell out before my alarm went off and evaporated with the morning dew.

I'm going to have to check the car fluids today. I think something smells a little funny when I gun the engine. Perhaps some of that engine cleaner stuff you can get at Canadian Tire would do the trick..

[10:41 AM EDT - Sport Swap.]

That's right! I had asked CM where I could get good used bikes and he suggested that I go to Sport Swap.

There probably aren't many used bikes right now, but if I check over the next couple of weeks, the inventory should build up..

[11:12 AM EDT - Our numbers have doubled.]

It seems as if girl and Dangerman will be participating in this year's Ride for Heart. Muhahaha! More people! Unfortunately this means I'll have to find my own bike (hence the search for a good used bike).

(Yes, the news is coming in reverse order, but I'm feeling kind of temporally dyslexic right now.)

[4:49 PM EDT - The White Penny.]

I came across an interesting article in a scrap magazine about the use of different materials in the American penny during the second world war. Apparently, copper was needed for the war effort, which meant that they had to use something else. So for a year, they were minting zinc coated steel pennies. About a billion of them were created, but they were very unpopular because they were magnetic and lighter than normal pennies and would not work in vending machines. Furthermore, they would rust and turn into an ugly blue grey mass. As copper was still scarce, the mint decided to use the brass from spent shell casings, adding an extra bit of copper to the mix so that it would look closer to the original penny.

So the brass penny was minted for a few years until 1946 when the war was over. I think I've got a penny from that period. I'll have to go and check it out.

[5:29 PM EDT - It is now mass on the line..]

Well, I got the talk, and we'll see how things go.

[11:29 PM EDT - Tired envelopes.]

Yay! I finally got around to getting the tires repaired. I'll keep my eyes on them over the next few days to make sure I don't end up going flat when I least expect it. (At least the repairs were free.)

While I was getting my car fixed, I was able to go shopping for some stuff I've been meaning to get (although I really shouldn't be spending money like this). I got some envelopes and a new ball hockey stick. I also got a bottle of that engine cleaning gunk that's "guaranteed" to help you pass the emission's test. Too bad I didn't hear about it until after I sent the car in to get fixed.

Oh well, it's a lesson learned that.

I'll need to do a bit more maintenance and some fluid checks as well. I just have to remember to actually check..

I got the same stick as the first stick I ever bought. I didn't realize that it was a ball hockey stick or I wouldn't have used it on the ice all those years ago. (Okay, a year-and-a-half. So I embellish a little okay?)

I also got around to doing my laundry tonight as well as some bookkeeping. That's a good thing since I'm going to be uber busy this weekend. It's too bad I won't be seeing her again. *frowns* I'll have to find time for ice cream before ultimate starts to pick up!
