[10:38 PM EST - Halo carting.]

I got up late this morning after going to bed after four last night. I figured that going rock climbing was probably not likely since I like getting my beauty sleep. Instead, I got a call from girl (that woke me up) asking if I wanted to go out for dim sum with Dangerman and Growly.

So, I went out to lunch with Dangerman and Growly. We made the usual SARS comments being in a Chinese restaurant and all, but the food was decent. The bill on the other hand was a lot bigger than I had anticipated, it was nearly as expensive as the time we had dim sum in Missisauga!

Afterward, I went to pick up Laz and we all met up to go go carting. It's the only place I know which requires the drivers to have a driver's licence to drive on the track. The karts are a bit more souped up (apparently), but since there are so few straightaways, it's hard to reach top speed.

[Formula Kartway.]

At the end of March, girl invited us out to go go-karting at this indoor racetrack that she went to with her work. I didn't really think too much of it since I'm used to driving outside and indoor tracks couldn't be as good as outdoor ones right? Well, when they asked for our driver's licences, my interest was piqued. These karts are not too shabby, and the course was pretty fun to ride. We'll definitely have to do this again!

From Left to Right: Laz, girl, Growly, Dangerman, and I.

It was really fun! We had twenty laps and I got to drive car 5. My fastest lap was 37.79 seconds on lap 14 (then 38.37 on 19, 39.13 on 11, 39.27 on 3, and 39.31 on 15) and my average was 41.94 - which would've been lower had I not crashed. The track was concrete and was slippery enough to drift/fishtail the cars in the turns. It was very fun, although it seemed very short (and was pretty expensive) as well.

Afterward, we got some grub (well, not me. I was full) and then headed down to Dangerman's place to figure out what to do for the rest of the night. An idea was brought forward to rent an X-box and play Halo, so we went out to Rogers to pick up the game. Unfortunately, all of their copies of Halo were out, so we got them to check other outlets and apparently none of them had the game in stock! Frustrated, we headed down to Blockbuster and was confronted with a similar situation there.

Dejected, we headed back to Dangerman's place where we ordered wings and watched some Cowboy Bebop.
