Well, my server seems to be in good shape considering that I repartitioned the thing without making any backups. *knocks on wood*
It's also been updated, except for the kernel, which I'll leave for a later date. Man, being a sysadmin is annoying if you ever fall behind on patches (and this is only with one box with one user!).
Okay, I've started looknig at getting my pages back the way they were. The new format is annoying me, and the text thing didn't work properly. Actually, I fixed up the text thing and it seems to be fairly clean. No more funny titles, and underlines actually show up! Now to look at reformatting..

Well, a certain someone did the three fingered salute on my box and it went down, taking the drive overlay with it. That meant that it couldn't boot from the hard drive. Dangerman and I tried to look for a way to fix it, but in the end, we needed a Win9x machine so that we could create the rescue disk. I don't have a Win9x machine anywhere in the house. (At least I don't think so.) Anyhoo, I found out someone who had one, and headed out there.
Well, so I tried out the rescue disk on the hard drive and was able to write over the original overlay. Too bad I wasn't able to uninstall the new overlay because it can't shift the sectors or something. Argh! I think I'll figure out what the heck's going on with it tomorrow. Right now I've got it running off a boot disk. Hopefully I won't have to rely on that for very long..
Oh yeah, the rest of the day. Well, I went out to lunch with Growly, Dangerman, girl, and GT. It was SO expensive! Oh my lord! I didn't realize how much money I spent in that place!! Well, I guess I'll be eating cheap for the new few days..
