Oh boy. It's going to be one stinky summer here. I was reading up on the CUPE strike when I came across a headline that arenas would be closed. What?!? *reads headline again* Arenas would be closed.
Hmm, that can't be good. What will I do now?

AT wanted to show me these ice cream dumplings that he had when he was a kid so we picked up a couple to try. They were pretty expensive considering that they were basically balls of vanilla ice cream wrapped up like dumplings. I'll stick to my Hagen Daaz thank you very much.
Just before leaving work, I got some e-mail informing me that there might potentially be a hockey game tonight. Well, I jumpped at the opportunity to play since I missed the last two weeks due to other commitments and there's no ice hockey scheduled for this weekend.
So after I got home and worked on the puzzle (I'm about half-way done. I could probably finish it by tomorrow but I doubt I want to stay up that late.) I was informed that the game will be at eleven tonight.
No problem. I got the directions to the arena and headed out. I was running low on gas but I knew that I had enough to get to the arena and back. So I made it to the main intersection and turned left. Now I was supposed to look for a restaurant. Hmm.. no restaurant. Okay, so I doubled back and looked around the intersection. Hmm.. no restaurant. Okay, so I went back the original way and went further. Hmm.. no restaurant. By now my gas light had gone on so I decided to stop at a gas station to fill up.
The station was full of parked cars and there were a number of Korean teens milling about. I didn't pay any attention to them while I got out of the car to fill up with gas. I reached for my wallet and.. *pats pocket* Uh oh. I forgot my wallet!! Argh! I guess I won't be getting any gas then.
Annoyed, I got back into the car and headed back. This time, I went in the opposite direction and came across a restaurant. Ah ha! So here it was!! I parked the car and found the arena. Wandering in, I bumped into the direction giver and he apologized for giving me the wrong directions. *shakes fist*
Ah well, at least I didn't end up in the girls' washroom. So I hung around for a bit before asking why we weren't in the changeroom. I was told that the bozo owners had rebooked our time slot to midnight! Argh! *pulls at hair*
Okay.. I decided at that point to go back home so I could pick up my wallet. I figured that I had time to do that and get gas as well. So here I am updating my page. I guess I had more time than I anticipated. Anyhoo, I gotta go to hockey now.
