[11:53 PM BST - The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge.]

I went to take a look at a couple of towers today. After a late breakfast, MJO and I went back downtown to take a look at the 'Tower of London' since we were too late yesterday. We managed to reach the site just as a new tour was starting so we joined up with that tour and was led around the grounds. After the guided tour ended, we started exploring the grounds, checking out the standard sites of the White Tower, and the 'English Crown Jewels'. The tower itself was not overly impressive. I had expected a much larger spectacle, but considering the origins and the history, I can imagine that it did indeed seem quite magnificent to the people of that day, starting with 'William the Conquerer' up until the 'Renaissance'.

We ended up spending most of the day there and walked through basically all of the buildings. I managed to pick up some post cards and stamps and a sore knee. After the 'Tower of London', we headed to the 'Tower Bridge' where we sneaked in just before closing and took a quick tour. After that, we went back near his place for dinner and met up with a friend of his and one of his friends. I had forgotten that I had not shaved that day (or the day before) because I had forgotten my shaver at home and was curious as to why the sentry examined my ticket closely when I tried to board the train. Well, our dinner companions did not say anything either, but I am sure I need to clear out this stubble soon..
