[Sunday, October 9, 2005: Somalian hockey.]

I spent most of the day vegging out by playing Final Fantasy VII. I didn't find out that girl and Dangerman had invited me out to dinner until I checked my phone.. half an hour before they were going to meet.

Well, I had to get my laptop set up and my hockey gear together before going out, but I wasn't all that late. We were to meet MG as well, but he was late so we headed down to the restaurant.

Since I wasn't driving, I was able to watch the other cars that were stuck in traffic. We came up to a car with this cute girl in the back seat. So I waved, and she smiled and waved back. But they took off before I could start a silent conversation.

Then there was this other girl at the restaurant who gave me that "look" and smiled at me.

But I'm getting off topic. The food was fairly good, but it was so cheap! There wasn't really a menu for the place, and it did look quite run down, but the people were friendly and you can't beat the price.

After dinner, I headed to my parent's place to try and fix my server. From what I could see, it didn't seem like any of the services were running, which would explain why I wasn't able to connect, but didn't explain why the web server was running.

Anyway, I spent the next hour updating the software, but I didn't have time to test it before arriving late at hockey.

I actually played well in hockey despite my injured wrist. I think it was because I wasn't tired (since I was late). I was able to skate circles around everyone, which made puck handling that much easier. I guess I'll have to remember that the next time I got square dancing.
