[11:47 PM EDT - Jacket and shirt.]

I forgot to mention last night that I forgot my jacket at the office! It was fairly warm that day, and despite looking cold in the morning, I really didn't need to bring my jacket.

Also, when I went to hockey I forgot to bring an extra shirt to change into, so when the game had finished and I had taken off my equipment, my shirt was soaked and I really didn't want to keep it on. Fortunately I was able to wear one of my jerseys, but I didn't want to be walking around outside with it on, so I went home instead of going to the usual haunt.

[Sunday, August 15, 2004: Riding around town.]

I got up late this morning. Actually, I didn't have anything planned except to watch a movie in the afternoon so I wasn't actually late. Not until I got the call about dim sum in the morning. I usually show up late anyway because there's usually no food at the beginning and not everyone's there at the start anyway. It's a bad habit, but I did get some work done on my site..

Dangerman, girl, Laz, and Tenshi showed up for lunch. Although Laz and Tenshi were even later than me! (The lunch time got moved up fifteen minutes so I was even more late than I was planning to be.) Dangerman wanted to know if I thought one of the waitresses was cute, and after one look I knew that it was a negative answer. Well, she is "cute" in the young sense, but no. LC is cute. Madelaine is cute. Heck, Laz's first year chem partner was cute. Wait, I take that back. She was hot. I still have no idea how he ended up with her (yes, I've heard the story) but geez, when she showed up around our group, we were all like: "Duh".

But I digress.

After lunch, the plan was to go to Dangerman's place before heading out to watch the movie. Laz needed to shower, and I wasn't driving across the city in my summer beater so I went to his place to try out Far Cry while he was getting ready. It's quite a good game and I can see how one can really spend a lot of time on it. (It can also be tough if you're just rushing through.) The save point method is annoying, but it just means that I have to be more careful when I play the game..

We lost track of time and realized we were late when they called us to remind us about the movie. (Mind you, I wasn't playing all that long.) We were halfway across the city when we got the call that they (Growly and Dangerman) were going in without us. So Laz and I decided to go there anyway, watch a movie and then hook up with them after the movie.

It took us a little while to find the theatre (after a little missed turn) but amazingly enough, we arrived just as the movie we chose ('Collateral') was starting. Lucky! *shows V symbol*

The movie was okay. It had it's moments. But when we left the theatre, we found out that the boys had already left and were just about to go for dinner. We were able to catch up to them at a gas station and found out that they wanted to go downtown for dinner.

I thought it was a little crazy to do all this driving (going to the east end, west end, downtown, etc.) but nobody ever listens to me. Then someone suggested that we carpool, leaving Laz's car (I carpooled with Laz) there in the west end while we took two cars (one which would be left downtown) downtown. Again, that made no sense to me because it would mean that we'd have to be driven back to the west end after going downtown and then drive back to the east end from the west end instead of going home from downtown. But I wasn't driving. *shrugs*

Anyhoo, the food was fairly good. Oh, Growly brought along one of his coworkers (I forgot her name already) who also knew Riston! Oh boy.

So where was I? Oh yeah, the bunch of us decided to head back to Dangerman's place after dinner, were a few of us (Laz, Dangerman and I) watched one episode of the "Family Guy" before we headed back to Laz's place where I picked up my car and drove home. That's a fair bit of travel for one day. I should look into teleportation technology..
