MJNL and I have been watching a torrent of movies of late. Recently she had a urge to watch 'The Golden Compass' and 'He's Just Not That Into You'.
We watched 'The Golden Compass' first. For sure it was a kid's movie and the acting in it I found was a little, blah. Since it is part of a series of movies, the end is not really. I found that the movie is very similar to movies like 'Lord of the Rings' or 'Harry Potter' in the feel, the visuals, or the music, but there really is nothing new. Also I did not find that it was as well put together. It is a kid's movie though, so I am sure the kids would like it.
'He's Just Not That Into You' was okay. It had it's moments, and we spent some time pointing out actors and actresses who we recognized in the movie or had cameos. (Actually it was MJNL who was mostly pointing them out. I do not really know too much about that stuff.)
